Linda D’Ambra, Tom Frawley, Patricia Raub, and I met on Tuesday at the library. We decided to allow patrons to become members of the friends group at the circulation desk. There are membership dues of $5 for an individual and $20 for a family. These dues will be used to support library activities. If you are interested please go the library.

Membership in the friends group will help the library to provide services to the community. Members will be notified of special library events or fundraisers, such as bakesales or booksales. In addition, membership provides support for the library. Advocacy for library funding and support from the city and our fellow citizens is vital to providing you with the exceptional library services you deserve.

The initial meeting of the Friends of South Providence Library will occur on March 31st at 7PM at the library. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Due to another conflicting event at the SPL the initial meeting date will be changed. It is potentially rescheduled for 3/31. Details and confirmation to follow.
